This proceeding was opened by the Commission to update policies regarding rate structures and cost inputs so that rates better reflect the actual cost of providing electricity to residential and commercial customers. More accurate price signals could help customers use electricity more efficiently thereby helping defer expensive upgrades and unnecessary build-outs of the electrical system. UCAN supports advanced rate designs that can encourage ratepayers to shift their energy usage when electricity is abundant and cheap. UCAN is an active participant in this proceeding.
