Sprint Bills in Florida
Sprint has become a scam if you ask me I had a phone for 4+ years I added a family plan and had it 2 years out of the 4 + years I needed to add a phone for my father and I asked more than once if I add a phone am I going to have a termination fee for each phone ( every time I was no) I wish I could have recorded those converstation. I had nothing but problems after I added that phone mysterious charges they couldn't even explain them. Then if I was lucky and got someone who spoke english oh I'll fix that so you won't have it pay it. It will show up on your account as a credit bull crap after 4 months of that crap I turned all of the phones off I cut my losses. It was a lot of money but it was worth it. I would not recommend Sprint/Nextel to anyone. Not only are they keeping their company if business by ripping off consumers and getting away with it but most of the time you don't have a good signal!! Well I know I will never see that money again but it saved me being aggravated for the next yearl and a half. And I would not recommend them to anyone. Anyone who ask me about Sprint/Nextel I tell them if you want crappy service and to get ripped off then use them. I have had service with Cingular, Metro PCS and AT & T I would use any of them over Sprint/Nextel. I hope this prevents anyone else from going throught the hell of being one of their customers!!
an actual resolution??

So, like I stated yesterday in my post, I contacted Sprint customer service via email through their website, and look what I found in my Yahoo inbox a few hours later... Try it out guys..I'm sure I'll be back on this site next Month with some other bogus charges
Dear (deleted),
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand your concern about the
data charges.
As the account had incurred a data charge of $75.00, this data charge
was prior to the activation of the Blackberry Plan. As the blackberry
Plan was made active as of April 28, 2008, so the charges was prior to
it.
But considering your long-term association with Sprint, I am applying a
credit of $75.00 on the account which will reflect on the next invoice.
You can view online after 4 hrs.
The account has a total balance of $577.25 including a past due balance
of $406.44. The due date for the payment is August 15, 2008 but the
services may be interrupted after August 13, 2008 due to non payment of
the bill. So to be on a safer side and to enjoy the uninterrupted
services of Sprint, please make a payment of $577.25.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,

My Original email:
Original Question: billing
Question:
In my April 2008 bill you added a $75 data usage fee that was supposed
to be included in my Blackberry plan and Customer Service told me I was
using data BEFORE I was switched to Blackberry so it's a valid charge.
WTF??I've had a regular Sprint plan for 6 DAMN years, and ONLY started
using data when I went into the Sprint store with my new Blackberry to
activate it. So if I wasn't on the Blackberry plan, it was YOUR damn
fault, and the idiots in customer service said there was a block on my
account and I couldn't get a refund! He said it was probably because my
bill was behind...well, YEAH I'm not going to pay my bill til the
billing is correct, I had you for FIVE years before without paying a
single bill late, and only stopped paying on time when you screwed my
account up.That is RIDICULOUS. I have had to call you guys EVERY SINGLE
MONTH for over a year because you can't get my damn bills straight. This
is RIDICULOUS. That data charge is NOT a valid fee, who in their right
mind would set up their billing in that way?? Quit being greedy
slimeballs, do the right thing and take that charge off my account. I
have already researched you on the web, and this is a farely common
practice
My Response to Sprints "Courtesy Refund"
Franco,
I appreciate the refund I was OWED, but it blows my mind that you guys have the AUDACITY to treat this as a courtesy. Would you mind telling my why after 6 years of service with you, How I would all of a sudden have a $75 data usage charge? I went into the Sprint store to activate my Blackberry and the Blackberry plan, and it was SPRINT'S fault if it wasn't set up correctly, not mine. I feel completely disrespected that you would even try to convince me that this refund is based on my history with you and not your employee error. I would appreciate it if your company would (for once) own up to its mistakes and EXPECT that a refund would ALWAYS be provided when it is YOUR error and not mine. How exactly did I even use data when I didn't even have a browser nor Internet access on my Blackberry until the Blackberry service was in use?
Thanks,
Amanda

Dear (Deleted),
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I sincerely apologize for the
inconvenience caused to you.
It was our fault due to which your account was charged for the data
usage as the data pack was added in the mid of bill cycle.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

More On (Moron) Sprint Charges on Pioneer Plan Accounts
Well, I just had Sprint credit off some charges and cancel the account I have had with them since they came into San Diego County -- it was one of the original Pioneer Plan accounts. the deal, then, was No monthly fees, basically no charges unless the phone was used, then 35 cents per minute excluding the 1st minute of an inbound call. And, there was a lifetime equipment guarantee (I am on my 3rd phone with them). Apparently, a few momths ago they started charging a 75 cents per month "administrative fee" and because of that the account draws taxes. My "free" emergency phone went to $.96 per month -- not a lot of money, but not in agreement with the original contract.
I spoke with a customer service person who said to go to the website www.donotbillme.com and they would cancel the billings -- of course, that website doesn't exist. then another rep reversed my charges and yet another cancelled the account for me.
And Sprint wonders why they're losing money?
New direct connect phones
Sprint has four new phones that are direct connect capable. Do not upgrade it will be a nightmare. I am a nextel customer for several years and never had a problem, I upgradd to one of these phones the samsung z400. What a nightmare, first these phones are sprint and nextel direct connect. I had several problems with this phone in particular with the direct connect that would work one day and not the next. I spent countless hours on the phone only to find out I was being charged extra for services such as direct connect as well as others. I had direct connect on my nextel phone and never paid extra. Who in their right mind would agree to upgrade to a new phone and pay extra charges. The sales department does not mention any of this while selling the phone. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD. The phone is really nice but does not work with the direct connect and it keeps restarting itself. I am going to write a letter to the FCC and I am returning the phone and awaiting my contract end date and good bye sprint.
is there a way to be part of this suit!!!!!!!!!!
SPRINT!!!SPRINT!!!!!is there a way to be part of this suit!!!!!!!!!!Where does a person start when their discussing a sprint bill. From day one my bill has been over charging me....so each and every month I have had to spend hours with customer service going line by line to correct the bad charges. So now they have lock my account so I can't have it corrected by customer service and also Move my contract finishing date from September to February next year.IN WANT IN ON THE SUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP ME

The Gaul
Notice how they NEVER acknowledge their error? They state the credit is because I am a long time customer, not because they screwed up by not placing me on the Blackberry plan correctly in the first place. They can't even own up and that just boils my blood. Excuse my complete unprofessionalism in the email I sent them, it was in the heat in the moment as I had just got off the phone with their rep that said therewas a block on my account. I am normally quite pleasant and professional, lol
I sent this email to Sprint, we'll see what happens

Sprints Fraudulent Billing
I have been reading these posts and am in the same boat as the rest of you. I had a $99.00 family plan with Sprint which was going along farily well for the first 22 months, except for this erroneous $9.99 charge that Sprint could never get off our account. They kept claiming it was an outside service that we must have subscribed to (which we didn't) and they only handled the billing. Hmmm, sounds like BS to me. But then it got better. In March of this year, month 23 of our contract, we received a bill for over $550.00 because I went over my minutes by 900 and sent over 1500 text messages. Both of these claims are false. I rarely use my minutes at all. It's for emergency only. And I had averaged 200 texts for the first 22 months. I knew 1500 was nuts. I don't know how anyone could send 1500 texts in a month anyway. Well, we finally pried a couple of the phone numbers we had supposedly called and sent texts to from them. They wouldn't send us a detailed breakdown and said they weren't able to do that. Well, we tried to call and text the numbers and lo and behold they were not valid numbers. How about that! I knew then that there was a huge problem. We called Sprint numerous times to get it resolved, but they insist even though the numbers aren't valid, that we definitely called and sent texts to them. We have argued, pleaded, and never got anywhere with them. Our bill is now at $713.00 even after they were so kind as to remove 2 late fees. We have switched to Verizon as our carrier and they are a much better company to deal with. I have no plans to pay what I know is a fraudulent bill with Sprint. I know it will hurt my credit, but I'm not willing to pay a bill I do not owe. I believe they do this and hope that you won't want to ruin your credit so you pay their fraudulent bills. I truly believe Sprint has some very dishonest billing practices going on and I don't know why they continue to get away with it. I wish all of you the best in resolving your issues with Sprint. I will keep fighting them until it's resolved. I WILL NOT pay a fraudulent bill. Even if it hurts my credit.
Mad as heck!
I called Sprint to inquire about the "casual data" use that was in my current usage report. The agent told me it was for internet access and that I was also billed for it the month before. I hadn't received my current bill yet so imagine my shock when I checked online and saw a total of $220. My bill does not go beyond $80 a month for a family plan because we hardly use up our minutes and we do not use the phones for anything other than make calls. We do not even text message. When I checked what could have made our bill jump up so high, I saw once again "casual data usage" and various multimedia downloads. I explained to the first agent I talked to that I did not use my phone for such and that they should be taken off my account. He asked, "Is there anyone else who could have used your phone like a young kid?" Yes, I have a kid but he does not use my phone for anything. And if he cared to look at my phone history, I've had (until the night before) an old Nokia 3588i which only functions as a phone. It would have been laughable to think anyone would download songs and movies on it if they had seen my phone. So I asked to speak to a supervisor who was no help at all. Since no one else uses my phone (to which these extra services were billed) she dismissively says they are valid and I have to pay for them. I asked for a manager but she says the "escalation" stops with her but that she will refer it to a manager who "may" call me within 24-48 hours. She cannot even guarantee that someone will call. That's Sprint customer service for you.
I e-mailed Sprint Customer Solutions and while the agent said the multimedia charges were going to be removed, she didn't say anything about the casual data usage. She suggested that I unsubscribe from the premium services so I wouldn't be billed for them. Why should I unsubscribe to something I didn't subscribe to in the first place? It is unacceptable how they arbitrarily bill us for various services they automatically tack on without our knowledge and yet place the blame on us when we complain about it because we didn't unsubcribe.
I still have about 10 months left in my contract with them and if I could afford it I would just bite the bullet and pay the ETF just to be done with them. It's funny how last year they hinted at how they were going to adopt the pro-rated ETF approach that other wireless companies have but we're already more than halfway done with 2008 and they still have not officially announced it. I tell you though, as soon as they do I will be among the first to call and cancel my contract with them.
Sprint sucks!!!
Thank God this abusive relationship is nearing it's end!
My 2 year nightmare contract with sprint is finally almost over!
Looking back, I wish I would have paid the early termination fee a long time ago. This would have saved me $2600 in false overcharges.
If I had the time and money I would definately investigate and sue Sprint for fraud. These nazis are crushing us little people! Somewhere, the creeps in charge are laughing that they can scam so many people and get away with it. I'm switching to Cricket. And I predict that Sprint will not last long if this abuse continues.
Be forewarned, if you are in a contract with Sprint, and are not happy with your sevice, GET OUT! It may cost to end your contract...but in the long run it will save your wallet and peace of mind.
Pass this warning on to any of your loved ones who may be lured into their scam.
Sprints harrassment
I suggest you file a complaint with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). After I had my nightmare with them over credits, rebates, dropped calls to customer service, unresponsive supervisors, and being on hold for 45+ minutes at a time, I filed a formal complaint with the FCC. Within 2 days I received communication from the FCC, and within 2 more days I received a direct line to corporate and someone who corrected everything that very day. I detailed in my letter to the FCC all calls made to "customer service", the dates, times, names ect. Good luck!
I HAVE HAD IT WITH SPRINT
I have had service with sprint for over two years know and it has been a nightmare since the first bill. I want to know how to sue them. I have been told so many different lies. From we will credit your account, to your service was interuppted because your past due amount of .23. One person will tell you one lie and when they fall through, here comes another person telling you someething else. two days ago my bill was 230.00, I was fighting that know I have just been told my bill is 798.58. Are you kidding me. I dropped the phone!! i could not understand anything the lady on the other end was saying. I really don't think understood what she was saying for that matter. How do I file a law suit against this company. I am sorry for everyone else going through this too, but i am glad to know that I am not alone. We have to do something.....
I have been fighting with
I have been fighting with sprint for over billing. They offer me all kinds of credits and such but then find a way to mischarge me again and again. I have even had a Sprint PCS customer service rep say to me "why are you still with us, I would'nt be". Beleive it or not I have stuck witg them for more than ten years and have multiple lines. I have ha it with them... How can I join this class action?
My mobile provider charges
My mobile provider charges me calls that I haven't made. My family members never use my phone and the numbers are from another country.
Sprint Billing Fraud
Let me just start by saying that since i began my hopeless journey in December of '07, I have paid over $700 in phone bills when I signed up for a $39.99 a month. I have been charged $75 a month for 5 months straight for "casual internet usage" and have not recieved a bill.........EVER! I just want to know when Sprint is "find my records" and either refund me or credit my account for the charges. Even after 6 different phone calls to customer service and requesting a copy of my bill be sent to me every month, there is no record of any calls or that I wanted my bill mailed to me. The list of billing issues goes on for miles to say the least, my questions seem to be of no concern to Sprint, so who can I talk to that will help me do something to get my money, that I work my tail off for making a whopping $18,000 a year!(Yeah, I'm a high roller!), back.
sprint 911
Yesterday my father called me on my cell phone to tell me he was having a heartattack, I immediately hung up with him and dialed 911 to no avail. I received a recording saying that I needed to dial an area code first! I did that twice and received the same message. I then called the hospital that I work at and had them call 911. I am livid with sprint, this is not the first time I have had a problem with their service.
I can be 5 miles away from my home and be charged roaming fees. I had included in my package deal no long distance charges. I called and complained to some one that could not speak english to discuss why I was on roaming 5 miles from my house. When I asked to speak with someone who could speak english and understand what I was trying to say, he hung up on me! Sprint has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life, they are rude, if you can get someone that can speak english they will tell you whatever you want to hear, they will lie to you telling you they will take care of the matter. This company needs be held accountable, we as consumers are held accountable for paying our bills, now they need to be accountable for their service!
Sprint.....Shame on you!!!
I've spent several HOURS on the phone with Sprint Reps and it's been awful how they just do their thing on you:albeit COURTEOUSLY(lol). Located in the Philipines, they get to a point, put you an hold for a long time, come back and give you oppisite of what you wanted:COURTEOUSLY(lol)...Sprint you should be ashamed of how you handle business.......You are headed for a class action lawsuit!
I hope a class action
I hope a class action lawsuit will be filed against SPRINT. I can't understand how they get away with treating customers the way they do. I called to cancel my service on DEC. 18, 2007, which is when my contract ran out. I am still fighting them to cancl. I have spoken to at least a dozen different Sprint employees from all over the place (I think some of them live in caves underground!). They all promise me they will take care of it but of course nothing is done. I ask for their name and employee number everytime. Then when I call back and ask for the employee I previously dealt with they tell me that person does not exist. My bill is now up to $2863.00. The last call I made was on April 24, 2008. I spoke to Fernando FAC6247(he barely speaks English) who promised this issue would be taken care of. Sure!! I've heard that many times before. I am sure there are people who got so tired of the scam, they just gave up. This is a crime - they are falsifying reports to the credit bureaus.
If there are people out there who have or are experiencing the same thing, maybe we can get a lawsuit going. There must be a law practice willing to take this on.
Florida Resident
I am basically trying to find a solution to continuous overbilling by Nextel now that it has meshed with Sprint, but I am not a California resident.
For the past six plus months, every time I see a bill I have to call Sprint because something is wrong. When it was just Nextel, I did not have these issues.
To explain:
There are two phone lines but one is in hiatus as the owner is overseas at OSAN AFB.
During the month of December, they came home for less than a month, since than I have been overbilled (for the millionth time) for services. I have explained to every individual within the company the situation, and many of them dont bother to try to placate the situation they just outright LIE.
Can you please direct me to a local service that helps to sort this out as your company does, but for Florida residents?
csw funmobile
The fact that (at least) CSW = Funmobile (also CA suit running!) is known? The background of the danish person behind the company is known? Sorry, I'm a foreigner (German) - but if we could share information, let me know.

CSW is racking up charges on my son's phone!
My son had lost his cell phone and when we finally found it there had been over 20 text message "jokes" sent to his phone at 3am. I have tried calling the number to this CSW but it is not a valid number. My only recourse I think is to cancel my TEN YEAR OLD's phone that he only uses when he goes to his dad's for visitation! Unbelievable that a company can do this with no recourse! I am so angry right now!
Sprint PCS billing shakedown
I disagree with some of the things Sprint CSR's tell me. When I have a dispute over an obviously ridiculous charge, I am placated & lied to explaining that I will be contacted expediently to resolve my issue. Then nothing happens but a text or voice message directing me to pay all charges or lose service. I then contact Sprint again and explain what has happened and give my dispute number. I am put on hold for a VERY long time so that the rep can confer with a supervisor who never gets on the phone. Again I am told that they will handle this issue and that they are sorry for the mis-handling of this issue. Keep in mind, I have not insisted that they dismiss all charges instantly, but only investigate this dispute and contact me in an appropriate amount of time. This never happens. Again I either get a text or voice message about loss or interruption of service unless I pay up. Then I call again, Again I am assured that the problem will be resolved without interruption until dispute resolution is reached. Then I cannot make outgoing calls, all my calls are re-directed to bill payment at Sprint.
Sprint PCS Billing Shakedown...
I had the same problem with Sprint in July 07. My bill went from $100/month to $500. I requested a fraud investigation and next thing I know my phone is turned off. When I called customer service they said my bill was over $1000, I told them how can this be since there was a fraud investigation going on. They told me that there was no investigation. Funny...no one told me. I tried to access my account online to see where these new $500 worth of charges came from but I was locked out of my account. I called customer service and they told me that I had to pay the bill in order to have access to my account. I told them there was no way I was paying this since these charges are what I've been disputing. Furthermore, I was only set up to receive ebills not paper bills. How could I have an intelligent conversation with them when I don't even have a bill to look at. I finally told them I wasn't paying them and got a pay as you go plan. Never again will I sign a contract with a wireless company. I spent no less that 2 hrs on the phone everytime I tried to resolve my issue. Is there a class action suit that a Floridian can participate in?

I just found the same charge on my Verizon account. Total scam--this occured when I was arranging for active sync; something popped up on my screen offering a free program for backing up my treo. I clicked on it & then these stupid jokes (at 9.95 a mo) started showing up on my txt messages.
I have called verizon to complain--they blocked it, but like sprint, they should not have allowed this to happen.
CANCEL CSW SUBSCRIPTIONS
THE NUMBER TO CALL TO CANCEL THESE SUBSCRIPTIONS IS 877-225-1198.
I have been trying to track
I have been trying to track down mysterious charges on my Sprint bill for several months for "CSW alert" and have been told "this is a third party charge and someone must have subscribed to this. We don't know who this is." Obviously, a lie. Please notify me of any class action complaints against Sprint and/or Cellular Services Worldwide. I finally tracked it down, mostly because of a huge volume of complaints from other cellular users caught in the same scam. CSW should be put out of business and Sprint punished for allowing this "spam".
