If a company contacts you
If a company contacts you more than once in a 12-month period after you have asked to be placed on their Do Not Call list, you can take them to Lingerie Wholesale Small Claims Court for at least $500 in damages. For more information, use our do-it-yourself guide to taking telemarketers to Small Claims Court.
Hi, I have been receiving
Hi,
I have been receiving calls from "non profits" organizations even after I signed up with the Do Not Call program. However, before I can request the telemarketer to remove my information off their calling list, they always hang up before I can complete my sentence. And I understand that they can comply to my request, but it is annoying because they tend to hang up the phone before I can make my request with them. This has then leads to more calls from these so-called non-profit telemarketers which wakes me up in the early morning.
Is there anyway for me to make my request before they hang up on me all the time? And hopefully, after that, I will no longer have to face them anymore, whether or not if they are for non profit or for profit as I really do not wish to ruin my day anymore. The reason being is beccause they are just rude and I do not want to waste my time on them at all.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
with regards,
