clear dmv title no leinholder bank says i owe more money

HI I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA I FINANCED MY CAR FOR 2-3 YEARS PAID IT OFF. I RECEIVED A CLEAR TITLE FROM THE CE DMV NO LEGAL OWNER. RECEIVED MY LETTER FROM THE FINANCE COMPANY SHOWING ACCOUNT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL. NOW A COLLECTION COMPANY IS CALLING ME SAYING I OWE THEM $7000. IF I DON'T PAY THEY WILL TAKE ME TO COURT AND ATTACH MY WAGES. CAN THEY DO THAT AND IS THAT LEAGAL WHAT DO I DO THANKS.

2 weeks later, told I owe more on my new car????

I purchased a new car from Maita Nissan in Sacramento on 3/17/08, a Monday and mid afternoon. The sales person called the company who was the legal owner of my trade and asked for a 10-day payoff. The contract was done and I left with my new car. About 5 days later, I get a call that I owe another $40.00. Ten days later, I get another call and now I am told I owe about $100.00 more because the payoff was different. I questioned the discrepancy and then got another call to just pay the $40.00 and not worry about the $100.00. Do I legally owe that or can I tell them it's their fault and I am not paying it? What should I tell them?

Respectfully,

Linda

California Energy Commission wants government to control thermos

I do not agree with the government controlling our thermostats for any reason. Our electricity goes off often enough to make me hate modern appliances that all have to be reset due to a 2 second power outage. Let's get serious about enforcing the Utility companies to supply consistent water, electricity, internet etc. Soon we will not be allowed to wash our own car on our own property . .hello! Have we all heard of Greka? How many millions of gallons of sludge are they allowed to spill without even a slap on the wrist? The entire state of California would have to run their furnaces and A/C units 24/7 to catch up to the multiple Greka Spills. Where is the government in the Greka issue? The government does not need to invade private homes with radio technology. . . .the government needs to monitor, control, and indict the real polluters.

car purchase from Santa Maria Ford

In October of 2006 my elderly father went into Santa Maria Ford, in Santa Maria, Ca. He wanted to trade his Windstar Van for a new car. He was presented with a new? 2006 Ford Taurus and, with his perfect credit was imeadiatly financed into the vehicle and left there to go home, in Santa Maria, Ca. where he resided at the time. The next day he returned to the Dealer explaining that they, He and His wife were not at all happy with the vehicle and wanted a different vehicle. So, he was traded UP to a 2006 Ford Five Hundred, and in the paperwork shuffle was payed $10000.00 less for the Taurus that he had purchased the day before.
My father is elderly and sometimes under pressure he gets (very obviously) confused, at which time the Dealer, Santa Maria Ford swooped in and made the kill. Now we are left with a 2006 Ford Five Hundred with a pay off of over $30000.00, and a payment that is so high that my father has had to move to the midwest to live with family as he could no longer afford to live in his retirement home that he purchased in cash and just has to pay a monthly assoc. fee, that he can no longer afford because of this dealer taking the opportunity to take advantage of the elderly in a confused state. Please keep your older family members away from this Dealership.
