CAR DEALER ADDS OPTION TO FACTORY ORDERD CAR WITH NO PERMISIOM
Hello,
I would like to know what can I do if a car dealership added options to my factory-orderd car without my permission and how can I handle this situation?
I live in New York and , I ordered a factory-ordered car 12/15/09 from a dealership in New York. I filled out the purchase order with the exact options that I wanted. The agreement was signed by me and the manager of the dealership. The sales rep. notified me by email about adding navigation to the car. I responded to him by email tellling him No, that I did not want the navigation in the car. The sales rep. on his own, called the factory in Germany 1/15/10 and had the navigation added at an additional cost of $3000. Since the car is in its final stage, will be here March 1, 2010 the navigation cannot be removed. At this point, I have a VIN # for the car and I have an e-mail telling the sales rep. no navigation and a reply from him saying that he was being proactive and had the navigation added to the car. The navigation was never added on the purchase order & there was no amendment to the purchase order to add it. The dealership is now telling that I must pay for the navigation or re-order the car which have a 2 month wait. This is not right, what can I do? WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS IN THIS MATTER CAN I KEEP THIS CAR WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE NAVIGATION
Thank you. Rob

Driver's safety education scam
Please help. We enrolled our daughter in Expert Driving School. (744-1980, 858-560-9422,619-885-7777, www.expertdriving.net.
An instructor came out the first time and took our check for $235. He made an appointment for the next visit for the following month. The following month came, and he never showed up on the date and time of the appointment. We contacted the "owner" of Expert Driving School and the phone numbers ring to his cell phone/home. I thought I was calling a business and was going to just leave a message. However, he personally answered from his home.
He informed us that he tried to contact us (which he did not) and leave a message and then argued with us that we had a fax number
on our phone message (we have none) and couldn't leave a message. What really happened, is that he was trying to contact someone else,
not us, and dropped the ball on calling us to reschedule. Rather than just apologizing for his mistake and moving on, he got angry and argued with me that he was trying to call us for a week.
In any event, I just him if he would send another instructor outor give us our money back. He began yelling at me. I then asked if he was a reputable company, and he continued yelling at me, telling me that we signed an agreement and we would NOT get our money back and hung up on me.
I called back. It was 7:30 pm. He yelled at me again screaming that he does not do business at 7:30 pm and to call in the morning and hung
up on me again.
Later in the evening, he called back and left a message that he was sorry that he went a little nuts and that he himself would come by and pick up my daughter, because he had no instructors right now, his other one left the company. After dealing with him and his temper on the phone, there is no way that I will let my daughter into his car for two hours. I want my money back and I will be reporting him to the DMV, and to the Better Business Bureau. His behavior was strictly unprofessional and he has taken our hard earned money. I wonder how many other folks are in the same boat.
Just wanted you to know. I will also be contacting Channel 8 Troubleshooter. Can you help?
