One thing we've noticed is that many people do not know how to read their water bill. The callers can definitely see how expensive their water bill is each month, but they don't know what each line item represents. We can help break though all the confusion, but we have to warn you that you can't unsee the horrors that are the Four Horsemen of the Water Bill.

City of San Diego Looking to Generate Money With Solar...I mean sewer

Getting to borrow my oh-so-punny headline from the other day, it looks like Councilman Kevin Faulconer has another way to generate money for the City of San Diego--selling sewer to SDG&E. Now, I'm sure there are a lot of UCAN members and SDG&E customers who would love to sell some of their sewer to SDG&E. Heck, I'm sure some of them would give it away--in a throwing manner, of course--to SDG&E. Is this another attempt to raise money like putting solar panels on the top of light poles or will this actually be a good way to generate some money for the City? Let's find out.

City selling water at a loss to 475 golf courses and companies
According to Rob Davis, an investigative reporter with the Voice of San Diego, golf courses and 475 other businesses are getting water at a 78% discount because the City of San Diego is selling reclaimed water at a loss.  LEARN MORE.
