I would like some help regarding a camera ticket!
I am fighting a red light camera ticket because I have been driving 25 yrs and have never ran a red light. All of a sudden I move into Santa Ana and I get one...The yellow light seemed way too short, so I did some research and found out that it is suppose to be 4.3 sec. for a posted speed limit of 40mph. I clocked the light at 1.90...I just want to make sure I was doing it right...I filmed it with my digital camera set to 30 frames per sec. and then I counted the frames and divided that number by 30...can someone help me out here??? I also found out that Santa Ana has been busted before having shortened the yellows! Apparently they have a profit margin contract with the company who installed the lights and they cannot set them back to where they are suppose to be or they will break a huge contract...and rumor has it that the State has imposed fines to cities who have set theirs back because the revenue is so high on these so called "safety lights"
