Document Everything In Writing

The only way to deal with Sprint-Nextel or any other cell phone company (because they all use the same tactics to over charge and miscommunicate changes on the accounts so that the true error can never be found.) Is to document everything. Document all correspondence by email, in writing and back it up so it's not lost. All phone calls should be recorded for your own "personal notes". That makes it legal, and you won't have your evidence of their fraud thrown out in court once it is known that you recorded the phone calls without their permission. They will cry foul about being recorded - EVEN THOUGH they all record your conversations with the company! You see people, this is all a commerce game, a legallity game. It's a free for all on the american consumer. If you are not informed about the legal issues (what they can and can not do legally) you will become an automatic victim. Never agree vocally or in writing to a contract. This is where they get you. Also: NEVER BUY A PHONE AND PAY FOR IT ON YOUR ACCOUNT. This is also where they get you. Because they will not itemize the purchase. If you want to protect yourself you must buy a phone outright for cash or otherwise from the local phone store in peron. Take it home and wait for two business days. Then go back to the store where you purchased the phone and sign up for a month to month contract. Do not sign anything unless the words month to month are on the paperwork. If it doesnt say month to month - ask the sales person to hand write on the front or next to your initial area the words Month to Month. Get a copy of the initialed and hand written page. Do not authorize any other deals OR CREDITS they offer. Simply dont fall for it. Then wait to get your first billing. More than likely you will receive it with only a few days left on your 30 day money back gart. so your have to work fast at checking that all the paperwork and agreements for month to month are in place. If it is not and they blatantly f**ked you anyway - even though you are being a smart consumer.... then cancel and buy a prepaid card service because that is all you can do to protect yourself. Nine out of ten times the sales person will resist putting anything in writing - but they do have the authority to do it for you, to protect you and gain your commerce.

Just a thought.

HERE IS WHERE YOU CAN GO TO GET ACTION FROM SPRINT!

After spending hours trying to get Sprint to fix all of the problems I had with my account I finally found the right person to contact at Sprint. That person was
Mr. Bob Johnson - Chief Service Officer, Sprint Corporation.
I sent an email to Mr. Johnson on a Sunday and he called me back within 2 to 3 hours. He put one of his people Kate Gillett on my case and within 5 business days she had all of my over charges removed, my rebate sent to me and I was able to cancel my service with no ETF!
After 3 months of almost daily fighting with Sprint personnel, These people got things done fast!
I not sure if I believe them or not but Mr. Johnson and Ms. Gittett both seemed stunned that I was having all of the troubles I was having and seemed upset by the way I had been treated.
All I know is they where able to fix everything when all of the rest of them couldn't
or wouldn't.

Here are both of their email addresses and a phone number.

1-866-727-0665. I am available Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Central Time.

sprint 2010

Well it is 2010 and nothing has changed with sprint. I had erroneous charges on my bill, spoke to a rep on saturday who gave me until today to get it worked out at a higher level. The rep was aware that the pymnt had not been made due to the problems and was therefore late. I have 10 phones on my acct. and have been with sprint for 10 years!!!!! I have elderly parents who have phones on my acct and two young teens who have the phones for safety. I reiterrated over and over with this man........so everything will be ok until I can speak with someone from your corp office?????....the phones will be ok right???? Sprint disconnected my phones this am around 2:00am. I am beyond appalled. God forbid something happens to one of my parents and they can't call out on their cell. That is why they have them.

rotton sprint

I will look for all my correspondence etc with them and join you all asap

Filing a complaint with theFCC

I would like to join any class action suit against Sprint and their deceptive tactics. But until that happens I will file a complaint with the FCC in my state. I suggest that all who post on this site to do so as well. The more complaints the FCC receives against Sprint, the easier for them to start a serious investigation into their fraudulent dealings. Which makes it easier for a class action suit to began against the lousy giant.

If you want to join together

If you want to join together to and take on Sprint please email me with your Story. netwerkjim@hotmail.com

Sprint billing

I would be interested in joining any class action lawsuit again Sprint. I have had to call every month for the last several months due to their THIRD PARTY BILLING and other false charges. I do get the bill corrected, usually after several phone calls. I have recently cancelled my account and am filing a complaint with the FCC.

FCC

I filed with FCC in my state and their states etc all ended up talking to Sprint and passing me on the same stuff Sprint gave me which was like going around and around and around.

I think I can Help

If you have been fighting with Sprint for any of these reasons below, Please e-mail me. I am documenting all of Sprint's Wrongful, Deceptive in some cases illegal operations they perpetrate against Subscribers’.
With your help we will put an end to all of their games!

1. Rebates: Both declined and longer that 14 weeks since you mailed in your form. Or if the Sprint online rebate status web page shows your rebate check was mailed out to you but you never get it.
2. over charge on your bill more than once. If you have to call Sprint almost every month and have to go through the hassle of getting put on hold for more than 10 min. Transferred from one Customer Service Rep to another. Told there is nothing they can do. Hung - up on. Treated rude or anything other than taking care of the problem quickly and friendly, I want to know.
3. Being told you can't cancel your service without an Early Termination Fee after you requested that Sprint do so because of the new added Regulatory fee or the new $4.99 fee Sprint is forcing everyone who will not start a direct payment account with them.
4. Anything else you feel is either unfair, or illegal that Sprint has done to you, I want to know.

So please send me your Stories to netwerkjim@hotnmail.com
The more Sprint Subscribers we can get together, the better chance we have to force Sprint to stop their CRAP!

Sincerely,
Netwerkjim

sprint wrong billing

hi there,
I got a contract from sprint as a family plan unlimited calls to any cell phone no matter what company the cell was and 1500 combined minutes to a land line phone number, so the first month was fine but last month I got overcharged arguing that we over used the 1500 minutes but now those minutes includes any cell phone that is not sprint cell phone
I call them to get explanation on this and they that I don,t have the plan they originally told me
so any way if I can join to any complaint against sprint.

Sprint

Sprint has been billing me for 5 plus years for 911 and county taxes in 3 different counties I never have lived in. I never would of found this out if they didn't cancel my discount thru my company without notice because my bill was higher than it was for years. When I called them they said well you must of had a phone mailed their, ummm no never lived there. Try again I said. I asked if this was considered mail fraud and if I should contact an attorney. The repersantive said it was my fault because should of had looked at my bill closer. WHAT my fault think not. I been paying lets say extra 10 dollars a month for 5 years maybe longer.

All of the above

I have just googled Sprint looking for class action suits against them for the first time today. If there is something current going on, I have loads of documentation.

4.99 fee, and 2.72 program fee on family plan

My wife, and I signed up with Sprint in March, and were never notified of this fee. Furthermore, the are charging Us two of the same fee, because we have a family plan. If there a way to negate the contract due to fraud, and the rep not disclosing this to Us? We are passed our 30 days since we signed. We will help in any way to get our contract terminated, and help others. Thanks

contact info.

Please forward me your email address so I can contribute.

Thanks

I need your email address to send my info. mine is jean.jurkiewicz@yahoo.com and i am in hemet

4.99 fee

Sprint sprung the 4.99 fee on me after, supposedly, because they feel that they are different than other companies given that they don't charge a deposit if your credit is bad. Therefore, after more than a year with them, they have determined that, unless I sign up for direct payment account, I must pay 4.99 for their special consideration of me. i WANT OUT!

Sprint

Wek kept Sprint for 2 years and got a thank you letter from them for it. Then recieved a bill for dropping early which we did not do and charges for phones that we no longer had and used. Contacted several agencies and no one could help so we just stopped replying to them.

Overcharges_Casual Data Usage Fees

I filed a complaint with the FCC and sent Sprint an email. I am done talking with them right now. This has been so frustrating. My husband called Sprint after I did and they told him that things were discussed in my call that were not. It contained outright lies! I called a 3rd time and when I was transfered to a super the call was disconnected. I am sooooo frustrated right now. I can't even begin to convey how ticked off.

Sprint treats customers like crap.. dirt.. sh@t..

I have been a Sprint customer since 2004 and my experience with them all these years has been extremely horrific. I keep coming back to them because their service is reliable but their customer service is terrible. I have been cheated by Sprint several times and would advise anyone to STAY AWAY FROM SPINT. Imagine I lock into Sprint for two years and I am eligible for a phone upgrade; if I choose not to take the upgrade because my current phone works fine; Sprint has no problem with that. So say I started my contract with then in Feb. 2010, my contract would expire in Feb 2012. Now if I decide to upgrade my phone in August 2010 my plan automatically expires until Aug 2012. This is bogus and a fraud... Look I spend countless hours haggling with Sprint and I have had enough of that.. after staying with them for 6 years all they can give me is a $20 discount.. that BS... I have had it with them and I am officially done with them.... My advise to all is STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT... IT WILL BE THE WORSE TWO YEARS OF YOUR LIFE... Also they tell me they will be charging me $5 a month if I don't enroll in auto pay every month.. What kind of company is this that dictates how you pay them....

Sprint forcing customers to sign up for an automatic bill pay

I was with Embarq wireless for the past 2 years before they ended their wireless service. Sprint and AT&T wireless soon had most of the Embarq customers signed up with 1 to 2 year contracts. I purchased my phone out right and didn't have to sign an agreement with them. (A miracle in itself) After paying for a month of service and another month in advance, that they demand, I am off and running for about 5 months. The next month I get my bill and I see that it has an additional $4.99 added to my bill. I call Sprint and they tell me to sign up for automatic bill pay or they will bill me for having an account limit with them. I told them in not so proper words that I didn't ask for an account limit and I had no intentions of purchasing anything on credit from them. I also told them that they couldn't force anyone or just add a fee to someone's account without giving them the option to opt out if they choose not to use their service. After numerous calls and dead ends I told them where they could stick their service. My dealing has ended with them but I am also interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Sprint for forcing fees and services that were not signed for nor agreed to. Is there any help out there for myself, and I'm sure there are plenty of other customers in the same situation.

Sprint - the worst telephone

Sprint - the worst telephone company, with which I had to deal with. If you require assistance disgusting, call them unrealistic. Fees for services are high. I used their services six months and I do not advise anyone to apply to this company.

Sprint lies

The first 2 and a half years of my sprint service went by without difficulty. The lies began when I went in to get a new phone and was told I would also be starting a new 2 year plan agreement. The next 2 years I was into the office every 2 months because they did not get the billing correct. Each time I went into the office to straighten things out they gave me a new 2 year plan.

Help

Hello everyone. I am not sure how often anyone comes here, but I have just gotten off of the phone with sprint customer service for the 4th or 5th month in a row due to unexplained charges on my phone. For a period of time my bill did not go above 110.00 dollars EVEN with the additional line I got for my mom. Now every month my bills are AT least 160.00!!!!!! Last month I got a bill for 177.00 although I have the 69.00/mth plan! I called customer service and they credited my account to take the bill down to like 120.00. They could not explain the additional charges! This month my bill was 164.00. I had a 20.00 charge for internet that I don't use! I downloaded a game for 7.99 but still that is like more than 50.00 dollars of unexplained charges! I have free picture mail, but every time I get a picture I am logged onto the internet and charged!!!!! Are you just as confused as I am? I got a 40.00 credit this month and expect the same crap to happen next month!!!!

I asked about early termination and was told it would be 400.00 for both lines even though my mom's line is free!!!! I WANT OUT SO BAD! Sprint is literally holding me hostage!!!! I am so EFFEN' MAD!!!!!

same thing!

I had that same thing happen to me in 2004 there were $150 in "other charges" that they could not explain I finally, after HOURS of dealing with customer service, got them to cancel my contract. They told me that they would take care of the bill and I would owe them nothing. I am in the process of buying a house and ran my credit just to make sure everything was good (hard to believe that has not been done for 6 years!!) and found a bill for $512 in collections that has been destroying my credit for years!! I had to call the collection agency find out that it was my sprint bill!! The collection agency did not have my address correct and also didn't have a phone number for me so I wasn't notified of it being there!!! I am SOOO MAD right now at this whole situation and have no idea what I can do about it!!

Sprint

I know we finally got an email for the rep at Sprint and since we started emailing instead of calling, (everything in writing) we were able to get them to take about $800 off our final bill. It took about 4 months. They still charged me a "reduced" early termination fee on one of the company phones even though I never approved an extension of the contract, was never informed of the extension until I asked when the contract for all the phones was up.
Don't let them charge you for things you did not ask for. Email seems to save the most time in the fight.
Good Luck

casual data usage

Sprint is by far the worst phone company I have ever EVER dealt with. I have an "everything messaging plan" and do not use the internet. I do not want to use the internet. But I am being charged for casual data usage on each bill. They claim that this is because of picture messaging (which is part of my plan).

This is an enormous scam and should be illegal. Most of the representatives in customer service have treated me like crap, ignored my issue, and refused to help me. They blame me for the charges. After a ridiculous fight that took up a lot of my time, they have said they will remove the charges. I was told a "code" was added to my phone in order to allow me to use picture messaging without being charged for data.

It is INSANE that I should have to ask for a code (that they don't normally tell people about) in order to get what I am already paying for (and not pay for what I am not using). Then another rep told me the code reduces the amount I'll be charged, but doesn't altogether keep them from charging me. Sprint is a terrible company and should not be legally allowed to operate.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I urge everyone to do the same.

Casual Data Charges - Over Charges

While I was in Iraq my husband was not receiving the Sprint bill. He called to try to resolve the issue to no avail. He did call the get the charges so he could pay the bill. He noticed that our Sprint charges were running high. As far back as August he spoke with several representatives in an attempt to find out why. They never mentioned that we were being charged casual data usage fees. He didn’t have access at the time to go online as the account is in my name, though like I said he did attempt to resolve the issue over the phone.

I am back and went online and noticed the fees. Naturally this prompted several calls to Sprint to investigate and resolve the matter. I first spoke with a rep then called my husband (I’m currently away for training) and told him of the issue. The rep told me they would only reimburse me for the past 60 days. I was not satisfied with that as several attempts were made previously to fix the matter as far back as August. Well I went on a little run with some fellow Marines and while I was out, my husband called Sprint. I came back from my run and called Sprint (didn’t know he was already on the phone with them) with no resolution, just got treated horribly by the “floor supervisor.” So I called my husband and found out he had just gotten off the phone with them. What he told me sent me over the edge! According to the notes from the first call I had with Sprint several things were discussed that in fact were not. This really angered me. Putting lies in those notes undermines any resolution, making it so much harder to obtain. So I called back and spoke with another rep, who was very polite and courteous. He transferred me to a supervisor to escalate the matter and right when she got on the phone the call disconnected. So after hundreds of dollars in erroneous fees, hours on the phone, usually getting talked down to and treated like an idiot and still no resolution. And I can see I’m not alone.

New Sprint Customer

I am a new customer of Sprint. Counting the time I have been on the phone with those idiots - one month. I am ready to kill someone already. Count me in. FOLKS - do you realize that the entire industry is ripping off the American people to the tune of Billions of dollars every month. Thats Verizon, Sprint, and all of them. Do you think it is just coincedence that there ARE SO MANY ERRORS every month - million upon milllion of wrong charges - it is no coincedence folks - it is planned and contrived. It is the biggest farce since the Wall Street Bail Out and it is dangerous - it sets a presidence. Do yourself a favor - dig into this and help stop them. Me, I want to be enjoined in the Class Action Suit. Oh yea, don't expect help from Congress, Senate, State, Local or dog catcher - none of them will fist fight with a giant. We are on our own. Good luck!

I want in on this suit! I have 2 yrs of written proof!

I am a small business owner. I have been held hostage by Sprint for 2 looonnnnngggg years. Readers digest version...10 months for a rebate on 6 phones (I was told at the time of sale that it would be credited on our first bill, not rebated) taxes for 3 different states, changing rate plans without asking, extending contracts without approval. All in writing. My secretary is OCD about documentation. I say BRING IT ON! I want in on this suit!

Sprint overcharging Customers to defray their cost...

The problem I am having with Sprint are the excess taxes that they are charging me they are imposing taxes to my bill that is not required by law they are charging me for gross receipts charges, regulatory charges,Federal US charges,Administrative charges which on the bill they said that these charges are to recover cost associated with government programs this is crazy. This is horrible because I am already paying my own taxes on my bill so why would they add more taxes onto my bill to inflate my cost for their service which I faithfully pay every month. Sprint also said that these charges are rates that they choose to collect to defray the cost on their company this is not fair and I hope that a suit is filed on them for inflating the customers cost ,because I would like to be in the lawsuit against this company. I cannot afford to continue to pay for what is considered to be their cost I would like to just pay my cost and I would like to be refunded all of the extra fees that they are charging me,because this is unjust to myself as well as other customers that are experiencing this same problem...

sprint tax charges verses

sprint tax charges verses Verizon. I have a verizon account I pay 2.91 per month in taxes. I have a sprint account I pay 40.00 in taxes. How can this be? I think they are robbing the customer in taxes and they say they are goverment taxes. Why does Verizon not charge the same fees if it is goverment taxes we only have one goverment should it not be the same fees.

SPRINT TRAPPED ME

SPRINT HAS BEEN MY CELL PHONE PROVIDER FOR 11 YEARS AND NOW I'M LOCKED IN FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS. RECENTLY I HAD LOST MY JOB DUE TO OUR WONDERFUL ECONOMY, AND INFORMED SPRINT OF THIS. MY BILL WAS PAST DUE, AND I COULDN'T AFFORD TO PAY IT FOR A FEW WEEKS. I SPOKE TO A VERY NICE WOMAN WHO TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD NOTATE IT ON MY ACCOUNT AND TO PAY WHEN I COULD. WHEN I STARTED WORKING I CALLED TO PAY THE BILL. I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE IT WAS OVER 30 DAYS I COULD NOT RESTORE MY SERVICE. I ALSO HAD TO PAY A $200 EARLY TERMINATION FEE. I TOLD THE REP THAT IF I HAD TO PAY THE FEE I WAS TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. HE THEN ASSURED ME THAT HE WOULD CREDIT IT TO MY ACCOUNT, AND I FEEL FOR IT. MY FIANCE AND I DECIDED WE WOULD ALSO JOIN SERVICES SO IT WOULD BE LESS EXPENSIVE, AND HE SINCE DID NOT RENEW HIS SERVICE. SO MY FIRST BILL CAME AND I DIDN'T EVEN THINK TO OPEN IT SINCE I WASN'T EXPECTING TO PAY A BILL THAT MONTH. AFTER A FEW DAYS MY SERVICE WAS NOT WORKING SO I GAVE THEM A CALL. AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE, ALL WHO HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO CREDIT. THE REP TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A NOTATION SAYING THAT I COULD POSSIBLY GET A CREDIT AND SINCE THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE. SO NOW I HAVE SIGNED A NEW 2 YEAR AGREEMENT, AFTER BEING A CUSTOMER FOR 11 YEARS, AND HAVE NO WAY OUT. THEY BASICALLY TRICKED ME INTO RESIGNING WITH THE PROMISE THAT I WOULD BE REINBURSED FOR THE TERMINATION FEE. MEANWHILE, I AM CONTACTING THERE MAIN OFFICE, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND LOOKING FOR A BETTER PROVIDER WHO ISN'T GOING TO RIP ME OFF AND LIE TO ME. AND TO THINK THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE FIRST REP I TALKED TO KNEW HER JOB AND INFORMED ME THAT I HAD TO PAY WITHIN A CERTAIN TIMEFRAME.

sprint bill

I have a sprint phone and sprint air card. monthly bill. $117.00 1000 minits on phone unlimit internet I thought. My bill this month $317.00. minits used 253 internet I downloaded three movies. Thats to much for this slow unpredicktable sprint. The bad thing about it . polatitions own sprint stock.

sprint billing

Sprint keeps adding up more charges on a bill to us it is now over $300.00. They are illegaly trying to get money for us leaving them early which we did not do and i have a thank you letter from them to that effect and now they keep adding on more charges and we have not had Sprint for months. Please let me also know what is going on with the class action thing. They are not getting a dime out of me.

just to tell you all they are still at it and still billing me

Still getting bills from Sprint. I requested a copy of all my bills and they convineintly did not send the one thanking me for keeping them 2 years since they are charging me that 200 dollars too plus money for month and months i did not have them.

Cellular charges $9.99/month

This morning I got up and decided to check my cellular bill. I noticed in the past few months it got higher than before. I downloaded the PDF file and printed out a copy. I noticed 2 charges listed under "Other Charges" for $9.99 each. The descriptions were "$9.99 program and Mobil content 9990TC"? I thought, what the heck is this. I highlighted the charges and decided to call later when they were open since I'm an early riser.

Later on in the day I was searching for jobs on the internet. I went here and there looking around and finally noticed an ad to the right for what I was looking for. I clicked the ad and was taken to another site. In order to search for the jobs I needed to register which I didn't think was such a big deal. It asked for name, email, and phone number which I put in. I clicked on "continue" and the red flag appeared and stated "cellular number not recognized" so I reentered it and clicked "continue" again. The same thing came up and I saw at the bottom of the page was a "skip this" link so I clicked it. The next site was different but still had the message about my number. I entered it again and came to a different site. I was ready to give up when I noticed a message similar to this, "By clicking you agree to $9.99/month charges on your cellular bill"! I'm thinking, wait a minute! This is what the charges are on my bill?

Guess what, it was later in the morning and I called the Cellular company. I got the right person within 1 minute which amazed me. I told her about the charges and she said yes, you have been hit 5 times since February. I said I know, get them the hell off my bill. I didn't give anyone permission to do this. She explained the charges and told me both were "text messages-44999 and 23907". She said the only way to remove them was from my cellular because they originated from there. She said I could also text message them back at the exact numer with "Stop" in the message and this would end them. She gave me all the info she had on both numbers for contacting them. For "44999" call (800) 235-7105 and for "23907" call (800) 559-9313 or email this one at help@sjamobile.net.

I went on to explain to her that I sent 1, yes 1 text message in the last 6 months and only 2 or 3 in my entire life. I can only text message someone who is in my address book, DAH! She went on to tell me she would go ahead and credit my account for the 5 charges. She noted in my account that I had called and also explained that I needed to cancel these because they couldn't. I understood and I also told her to block anything like this from happening again. She said she could a note for no more "wallet purchases" from my phone. I own a Blackberry 7520, an antique of sorts. She also explained that all cellular companies have this. I told her this was nothing more than a Scam and she agreed but there was nothing else she could do. I actually thought she did a very good job for me.

Immediately after ending my call with her I emailed the one company with Stop in the subject and got a quick reply of "Cancelled" I also called the number out of distrust and one number left me proceed and cancel without a human being. Damn, I was ready to let them have it and thought they got off easy. The next number I called and a guy came on and asked my problem. I explained quickly and before I could lay into him about what I thought of it, he says "We are prepared to cancel this immediately and send you a check for the 2 charges of $19.98"and I almost fell over. Of course you know what was going through my mind. The cellular company is crediting me with all 5 charges and this guy is crediting me for 2 so I just made $20 on the deal, not including my time, frustration, temper tantrums, etc.! I shut up fast and he said I would receive the check within a week. I said goodbye and hung up!

As they always told me, "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar" WOW! Seriously, I do understand what customer service people have to put up with. I told the cellular woman that I knew it wasn’t her fault. I asked her how she would like it to happen to her and she whispered back to me her thoughts which told me she agreed with me but there were others within hearing distance!

Now hear this! Watch out for all the "Scam and Rip-off Web Sites", they are everywhere. Make an extra effort to look around a little before hitting the continue button. You never know when you may trip over a $9.99 charge and go up in smoke!

Dan@sprint.com

I am in advertising and I knew that that would be a 'dummy' email address of sorts. However, I'm always interested in fair play (even though I've exhibited my frustration, leaving no doubt in their mind how I feel about the BS they throw about), I put a note in "Dan's" Inbox. In the note, I told them that by noon the next day I would be blogging, billboarding, contacting media, the FCC and the Texas Attorney General. I did all of them. The day after that, I received a call from "Angela" from "Dan@sprint.com's office." (Who knew virtual offices were that virtual???) She questioned whether or not someone else could have called to purchase the international calling because it IS noted that someone called. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I asked: "Since you have all the notes, why don't you have a phone number that called???" She had no answer for that one. After hearing her read "I'm sorry, I understand" from her script about 30 times, it was clear it was the same stuff, different rep. I think the only difference was she was able to speak English that I could actually understand. Pathetic excuse for customer service.

Here is the real Email address for Mr. CEO Dan Hesse

Sprint again

Don't bother writing to those people. They do nothing but talk in circles and you are wrong no matter what. i did it for a year and wrote everyone possible including the states the main Sprint offices are located in. My bill just kept going up and i did not even have Sprint anymore. We need a class action to stop them. Jean

I am pursuing...hit the final straw

Hesse speaks well. So far, I'm not seeing an improvement. 10 year customer here, just went through iteration 1000 (I wish that was exaggerated) yesterday with the day ending with a new low for Sprint in my book.

As the CSR (she was number seven of the day), read back the plans to me, line by line, (I made her...there had already been many errors), she read charge for all three lines: International Calling. When I questioned the charge she read the notes in my file: "July 28th, customer called inquiring about flat rate international calling to Europe and China." I blew a gasket. Never happened. I am reporting to everyone, including the media.

The other two lines are for my kids (11 and 15). I haven't traveled to Europe or China. Best case: Poor security that should be held accountable. Worst case: Fraud. I'd bet it's the latter but I'd also bet the former is alive and well in Overland Park, KS. (Only reason I've stayed is OPKS is my hometown.) 10 year customer, won't hit year 11. I WILL however see this to the end.

Mr. Hesse is beginning to appear ill-equipped. In his defense, Sprint may be beyond repair.

Sprint

Have you tried writing dan.hesse@sprint.com? He says in his TV ads that he wants to know how things are going. Let us know if he or someone in his office actually responds to your specific issue.

Sprint Bills in Florida

Sprint has become a scam if you ask me I had a phone for 4+ years I added a family plan and had it 2 years out of the 4 + years I needed to add a phone for my father and I asked more than once if I add a phone am I going to have a termination fee for each phone ( every time I was no) I wish I could have recorded those converstation. I had nothing but problems after I added that phone mysterious charges they couldn't even explain them. Then if I was lucky and got someone who spoke english oh I'll fix that so you won't have it pay it. It will show up on your account as a credit bull crap after 4 months of that crap I turned all of the phones off I cut my losses. It was a lot of money but it was worth it. I would not recommend Sprint/Nextel to anyone. Not only are they keeping their company if business by ripping off consumers and getting away with it but most of the time you don't have a good signal!! Well I know I will never see that money again but it saved me being aggravated for the next yearl and a half. And I would not recommend them to anyone. Anyone who ask me about Sprint/Nextel I tell them if you want crappy service and to get ripped off then use them. I have had service with Cingular, Metro PCS and AT & T I would use any of them over Sprint/Nextel. I hope this prevents anyone else from going throught the hell of being one of their customers!!

Sprint Fraud

We have had the SAME problems. They are de-frauding us on the phone and then putting us in a plan that is no different than the one before!!

We have been getting hammered with these charges!!

Dear (deleted),

Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand your concern about the
data charges.

As the account had incurred a data charge of $75.00, this data charge
was prior to the activation of the Blackberry Plan. As the blackberry
Plan was made active as of April 28, 2008, so the charges was prior to
it.

But considering your long-term association with Sprint, I am applying a
credit of $75.00 on the account which will reflect on the next invoice.
You can view online after 4 hrs.

The account has a total balance of $577.25 including a past due balance
of $406.44. The due date for the payment is August 15, 2008 but the
services may be interrupted after August 13, 2008 due to non payment of
the bill. So to be on a safer side and to enjoy the uninterrupted
services of Sprint, please make a payment of $577.25.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

Sincerely,

My Original email:

Original Question: billing
Question:
In my April 2008 bill you added a $75 data usage fee that was supposed
to be included in my Blackberry plan and Customer Service told me I was
using data BEFORE I was switched to Blackberry so it's a valid charge.
WTF??I've had a regular Sprint plan for 6 DAMN years, and ONLY started
using data when I went into the Sprint store with my new Blackberry to
activate it. So if I wasn't on the Blackberry plan, it was YOUR damn
fault, and the idiots in customer service said there was a block on my
account and I couldn't get a refund! He said it was probably because my
bill was behind...well, YEAH I'm not going to pay my bill til the
billing is correct, I had you for FIVE years before without paying a
single bill late, and only stopped paying on time when you screwed my
account up.That is RIDICULOUS. I have had to call you guys EVERY SINGLE
MONTH for over a year because you can't get my damn bills straight. This
is RIDICULOUS. That data charge is NOT a valid fee, who in their right
mind would set up their billing in that way?? Quit being greedy
slimeballs, do the right thing and take that charge off my account. I
have already researched you on the web, and this is a farely common
practice

My Response to Sprints "Courtesy Refund"

Franco,

I appreciate the refund I was OWED, but it blows my mind that you guys have the AUDACITY to treat this as a courtesy. Would you mind telling my why after 6 years of service with you, How I would all of a sudden have a $75 data usage charge? I went into the Sprint store to activate my Blackberry and the Blackberry plan, and it was SPRINT'S fault if it wasn't set up correctly, not mine. I feel completely disrespected that you would even try to convince me that this refund is based on my history with you and not your employee error. I would appreciate it if your company would (for once) own up to its mistakes and EXPECT that a refund would ALWAYS be provided when it is YOUR error and not mine. How exactly did I even use data when I didn't even have a browser nor Internet access on my Blackberry until the Blackberry service was in use?

Thanks,

Amanda

Dear (Deleted),

Thank you for contacting Sprint. I sincerely apologize for the
inconvenience caused to you.

It was our fault due to which your account was charged for the data
usage as the data pack was added in the mid of bill cycle.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

More On (Moron) Sprint Charges on Pioneer Plan Accounts

Well, I just had Sprint credit off some charges and cancel the account I have had with them since they came into San Diego County -- it was one of the original Pioneer Plan accounts. the deal, then, was No monthly fees, basically no charges unless the phone was used, then 35 cents per minute excluding the 1st minute of an inbound call. And, there was a lifetime equipment guarantee (I am on my 3rd phone with them). Apparently, a few momths ago they started charging a 75 cents per month "administrative fee" and because of that the account draws taxes. My "free" emergency phone went to $.96 per month -- not a lot of money, but not in agreement with the original contract.

I spoke with a customer service person who said to go to the website www.donotbillme.com and they would cancel the billings -- of course, that website doesn't exist. then another rep reversed my charges and yet another cancelled the account for me.

And Sprint wonders why they're losing money?

New direct connect phones

Sprint has four new phones that are direct connect capable. Do not upgrade it will be a nightmare. I am a nextel customer for several years and never had a problem, I upgradd to one of these phones the samsung z400. What a nightmare, first these phones are sprint and nextel direct connect. I had several problems with this phone in particular with the direct connect that would work one day and not the next. I spent countless hours on the phone only to find out I was being charged extra for services such as direct connect as well as others. I had direct connect on my nextel phone and never paid extra. Who in their right mind would agree to upgrade to a new phone and pay extra charges. The sales department does not mention any of this while selling the phone. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD. The phone is really nice but does not work with the direct connect and it keeps restarting itself. I am going to write a letter to the FCC and I am returning the phone and awaiting my contract end date and good bye sprint.

is there a way to be part of this suit!!!!!!!!!!

SPRINT!!!SPRINT!!!!!is there a way to be part of this suit!!!!!!!!!!Where does a person start when their discussing a sprint bill. From day one my bill has been over charging me....so each and every month I have had to spend hours with customer service going line by line to correct the bad charges. So now they have lock my account so I can't have it corrected by customer service and also Move my contract finishing date from September to February next year.IN WANT IN ON THE SUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP ME

The Gaul

Notice how they NEVER acknowledge their error? They state the credit is because I am a long time customer, not because they screwed up by not placing me on the Blackberry plan correctly in the first place. They can't even own up and that just boils my blood. Excuse my complete unprofessionalism in the email I sent them, it was in the heat in the moment as I had just got off the phone with their rep that said therewas a block on my account. I am normally quite pleasant and professional, lol

I sent this email to Sprint, we'll see what happens

In my April 2008 bill you added a $75 data usage fee that was supposed to be included in my Blackberry plan and Customer Service told me I was using data BEFORE I was switched to Blackberry so it's a valid charge. Sprints Fraudulent Billing

I have been reading these posts and am in the same boat as the rest of you. I had a $99.00 family plan with Sprint which was going along farily well for the first 22 months, except for this erroneous $9.99 charge that Sprint could never get off our account. They kept claiming it was an outside service that we must have subscribed to (which we didn't) and they only handled the billing. Hmmm, sounds like BS to me. But then it got better. In March of this year, month 23 of our contract, we received a bill for over $550.00 because I went over my minutes by 900 and sent over 1500 text messages. Both of these claims are false. I rarely use my minutes at all. It's for emergency only. And I had averaged 200 texts for the first 22 months. I knew 1500 was nuts. I don't know how anyone could send 1500 texts in a month anyway. Well, we finally pried a couple of the phone numbers we had supposedly called and sent texts to from them. They wouldn't send us a detailed breakdown and said they weren't able to do that. Well, we tried to call and text the numbers and lo and behold they were not valid numbers. How about that! I knew then that there was a huge problem. We called Sprint numerous times to get it resolved, but they insist even though the numbers aren't valid, that we definitely called and sent texts to them. We have argued, pleaded, and never got anywhere with them. Our bill is now at $713.00 even after they were so kind as to remove 2 late fees. We have switched to Verizon as our carrier and they are a much better company to deal with. I have no plans to pay what I know is a fraudulent bill with Sprint. I know it will hurt my credit, but I'm not willing to pay a bill I do not owe. I believe they do this and hope that you won't want to ruin your credit so you pay their fraudulent bills. I truly believe Sprint has some very dishonest billing practices going on and I don't know why they continue to get away with it. I wish all of you the best in resolving your issues with Sprint. I will keep fighting them until it's resolved. I WILL NOT pay a fraudulent bill. Even if it hurts my credit.

Mad as heck!

I called Sprint to inquire about the "casual data" use that was in my current usage report. The agent told me it was for internet access and that I was also billed for it the month before. I hadn't received my current bill yet so imagine my shock when I checked online and saw a total of $220. My bill does not go beyond $80 a month for a family plan because we hardly use up our minutes and we do not use the phones for anything other than make calls. We do not even text message. When I checked what could have made our bill jump up so high, I saw once again "casual data usage" and various multimedia downloads. I explained to the first agent I talked to that I did not use my phone for such and that they should be taken off my account. He asked, "Is there anyone else who could have used your phone like a young kid?" Yes, I have a kid but he does not use my phone for anything. And if he cared to look at my phone history, I've had (until the night before) an old Nokia 3588i which only functions as a phone. It would have been laughable to think anyone would download songs and movies on it if they had seen my phone. So I asked to speak to a supervisor who was no help at all. Since no one else uses my phone (to which these extra services were billed) she dismissively says they are valid and I have to pay for them. I asked for a manager but she says the "escalation" stops with her but that she will refer it to a manager who "may" call me within 24-48 hours. She cannot even guarantee that someone will call. That's Sprint customer service for you.

I e-mailed Sprint Customer Solutions and while the agent said the multimedia charges were going to be removed, she didn't say anything about the casual data usage. She suggested that I unsubscribe from the premium services so I wouldn't be billed for them. Why should I unsubscribe to something I didn't subscribe to in the first place? It is unacceptable how they arbitrarily bill us for various services they automatically tack on without our knowledge and yet place the blame on us when we complain about it because we didn't unsubcribe.

I still have about 10 months left in my contract with them and if I could afford it I would just bite the bullet and pay the ETF just to be done with them. It's funny how last year they hinted at how they were going to adopt the pro-rated ETF approach that other wireless companies have but we're already more than halfway done with 2008 and they still have not officially announced it. I tell you though, as soon as they do I will be among the first to call and cancel my contract with them.

Sprint sucks!!!

Thank God this abusive relationship is nearing it's end!

My 2 year nightmare contract with sprint is finally almost over!
Looking back, I wish I would have paid the early termination fee a long time ago. This would have saved me $2600 in false overcharges.
If I had the time and money I would definately investigate and sue Sprint for fraud. These nazis are crushing us little people! Somewhere, the creeps in charge are laughing that they can scam so many people and get away with it. I'm switching to Cricket. And I predict that Sprint will not last long if this abuse continues.
Be forewarned, if you are in a contract with Sprint, and are not happy with your sevice, GET OUT! It may cost to end your contract...but in the long run it will save your wallet and peace of mind.
Pass this warning on to any of your loved ones who may be lured into their scam.

Sprints harrassment

I suggest you file a complaint with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). After I had my nightmare with them over credits, rebates, dropped calls to customer service, unresponsive supervisors, and being on hold for 45+ minutes at a time, I filed a formal complaint with the FCC. Within 2 days I received communication from the FCC, and within 2 more days I received a direct line to corporate and someone who corrected everything that very day. I detailed in my letter to the FCC all calls made to "customer service", the dates, times, names ect. Good luck!

I HAVE HAD IT WITH SPRINT

I have had service with sprint for over two years know and it has been a nightmare since the first bill. I want to know how to sue them. I have been told so many different lies. From we will credit your account, to your service was interuppted because your past due amount of .23. One person will tell you one lie and when they fall through, here comes another person telling you someething else. two days ago my bill was 230.00, I was fighting that know I have just been told my bill is 798.58. Are you kidding me. I dropped the phone!! i could not understand anything the lady on the other end was saying. I really don't think understood what she was saying for that matter. How do I file a law suit against this company. I am sorry for everyone else going through this too, but i am glad to know that I am not alone. We have to do something.....

I have been fighting with

I have been fighting with sprint for over billing. They offer me all kinds of credits and such but then find a way to mischarge me again and again. I have even had a Sprint PCS customer service rep say to me "why are you still with us, I would'nt be". Beleive it or not I have stuck witg them for more than ten years and have multiple lines. I have ha it with them... How can I join this class action?

Sprint Billing Fraud

Let me just start by saying that since i began my hopeless journey in December of '07, I have paid over $700 in phone bills when I signed up for a $39.99 a month. I have been charged $75 a month for 5 months straight for "casual internet usage" and have not recieved a bill.........EVER! I just want to know when Sprint is "find my records" and either refund me or credit my account for the charges. Even after 6 different phone calls to customer service and requesting a copy of my bill be sent to me every month, there is no record of any calls or that I wanted my bill mailed to me. The list of billing issues goes on for miles to say the least, my questions seem to be of no concern to Sprint, so who can I talk to that will help me do something to get my money, that I work my tail off for making a whopping $18,000 a year!(Yeah, I'm a high roller!), back.

sprint 911

Yesterday my father called me on my cell phone to tell me he was having a heartattack, I immediately hung up with him and dialed 911 to no avail. I received a recording saying that I needed to dial an area code first! I did that twice and received the same message. I then called the hospital that I work at and had them call 911. I am livid with sprint, this is not the first time I have had a problem with their service.
I can be 5 miles away from my home and be charged roaming fees. I had included in my package deal no long distance charges. I called and complained to some one that could not speak english to discuss why I was on roaming 5 miles from my house. When I asked to speak with someone who could speak english and understand what I was trying to say, he hung up on me! Sprint has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life, they are rude, if you can get someone that can speak english they will tell you whatever you want to hear, they will lie to you telling you they will take care of the matter. This company needs be held accountable, we as consumers are held accountable for paying our bills, now they need to be accountable for their service!

Sprint.....Shame on you!!!

I've spent several HOURS on the phone with Sprint Reps and it's been awful how they just do their thing on you:albeit COURTEOUSLY(lol). Located in the Philipines, they get to a point, put you an hold for a long time, come back and give you oppisite of what you wanted:COURTEOUSLY(lol)...Sprint you should be ashamed of how you handle business.......You are headed for a class action lawsuit!

I hope a class action

I hope a class action lawsuit will be filed against SPRINT. I can't understand how they get away with treating customers the way they do. I called to cancel my service on DEC. 18, 2007, which is when my contract ran out. I am still fighting them to cancl. I have spoken to at least a dozen different Sprint employees from all over the place (I think some of them live in caves underground!). They all promise me they will take care of it but of course nothing is done. I ask for their name and employee number everytime. Then when I call back and ask for the employee I previously dealt with they tell me that person does not exist. My bill is now up to $2863.00. The last call I made was on April 24, 2008. I spoke to Fernando FAC6247(he barely speaks English) who promised this issue would be taken care of. Sure!! I've heard that many times before. I am sure there are people who got so tired of the scam, they just gave up. This is a crime - they are falsifying reports to the credit bureaus.

If there are people out there who have or are experiencing the same thing, maybe we can get a lawsuit going. There must be a law practice willing to take this on.

Sincerely,

Florida Resident

I am basically trying to find a solution to continuous overbilling by Nextel now that it has meshed with Sprint, but I am not a California resident.

For the past six plus months, every time I see a bill I have to call Sprint because something is wrong. When it was just Nextel, I did not have these issues.

To explain:
There are two phone lines but one is in hiatus as the owner is overseas at OSAN AFB.
During the month of December, they came home for less than a month, since than I have been overbilled (for the millionth time) for services. I have explained to every individual within the company the situation, and many of them dont bother to try to placate the situation they just outright LIE.

Can you please direct me to a local service that helps to sort this out as your company does, but for Florida residents?

csw funmobile

The fact that (at least) CSW = Funmobile (also CA suit running!) is known? The background of the danish person behind the company is known? Sorry, I'm a foreigner (German) - but if we could share information, let me know.

CSW is racking up charges on my son's phone!

My son had lost his cell phone and when we finally found it there had been over 20 text message "jokes" sent to his phone at 3am. I have tried calling the number to this CSW but it is not a valid number. My only recourse I think is to cancel my TEN YEAR OLD's phone that he only uses when he goes to his dad's for visitation! Unbelievable that a company can do this with no recourse! I am so angry right now!

Sprint PCS billing shakedown

I disagree with some of the things Sprint CSR's tell me. When I have a dispute over an obviously ridiculous charge, I am placated & lied to explaining that I will be contacted expediently to resolve my issue. Then nothing happens but a text or voice message directing me to pay all charges or lose service. I then contact Sprint again and explain what has happened and give my dispute number. I am put on hold for a VERY long time so that the rep can confer with a supervisor who never gets on the phone. Again I am told that they will handle this issue and that they are sorry for the mis-handling of this issue. Keep in mind, I have not insisted that they dismiss all charges instantly, but only investigate this dispute and contact me in an appropriate amount of time. This never happens. Again I either get a text or voice message about loss or interruption of service unless I pay up. Then I call again, Again I am assured that the problem will be resolved without interruption until dispute resolution is reached. Then I cannot make outgoing calls, all my calls are re-directed to bill payment at Sprint.

Sprint PCS Billing Shakedown...

I had the same problem with Sprint in July 07. My bill went from $100/month to $500. I requested a fraud investigation and next thing I know my phone is turned off. When I called customer service they said my bill was over $1000, I told them how can this be since there was a fraud investigation going on. They told me that there was no investigation. Funny...no one told me. I tried to access my account online to see where these new $500 worth of charges came from but I was locked out of my account. I called customer service and they told me that I had to pay the bill in order to have access to my account. I told them there was no way I was paying this since these charges are what I've been disputing. Furthermore, I was only set up to receive ebills not paper bills. How could I have an intelligent conversation with them when I don't even have a bill to look at. I finally told them I wasn't paying them and got a pay as you go plan. Never again will I sign a contract with a wireless company. I spent no less that 2 hrs on the phone everytime I tried to resolve my issue. Is there a class action suit that a Floridian can participate in?

I just found the same charge on my Verizon account. Total scam--this occured when I was arranging for active sync; something popped up on my screen offering a free program for backing up my treo. I clicked on it & then these stupid jokes (at 9.95 a mo) started showing up on my txt messages.

I have called verizon to complain--they blocked it, but like sprint, they should not have allowed this to happen.

I have been trying to track

I have been trying to track down mysterious charges on my Sprint bill for several months for "CSW alert" and have been told "this is a third party charge and someone must have subscribed to this. We don't know who this is." Obviously, a lie. Please notify me of any class action complaints against Sprint and/or Cellular Services Worldwide. I finally tracked it down, mostly because of a huge volume of complaints from other cellular users caught in the same scam. CSW should be put out of business and Sprint punished for allowing this "spam".
