Car rip-off Mossy sells used Katrina-style flood cars. Forces lemon victim to arbitrate in kangaroo court.

San Diego used auto dealer Mossy assured this victim that the unusual shaking in his used car was completely normal. They even showed him a clean Car Fax. But later, a mechanic told him his car had been completely submerged, something Mossy's used car sales manager did not disclose. We don't know for certain if Mossy has been selling Katrina flood cars, but it would make sense if they were - they still have a dealership in New Orleans.

Now, the used car rattles worse than a Spanish castanet. And when the owner complained that his used car was a lemon - little more than a garbage bucket of rattling nuts and bolts - Mossy did nothing. The owner, feeling ripped off, decided to take Mossy to court. One problem: the fine print in the contract said he couldn't sue Mossy's used car department in a real court of law. Instead, Mossy victims are forced to arbitrate with a judge that is hired and paid for by Mossy. According to the victim, in 40 cases, the consumer has lost every time ... and three years later, the owner of the Mossy lemon car is still waiting for justice, hoping that an arbitrator that gets his paychecks from Mossy will somehow rule in his favor.
