Gas Savings Idea

MY last bright idea, charging gas on a gas rebate card, did not go over too well because

1) the cheapest stations usually do not accept credit cards, and

2) there is a risk/cost if you do not pay off you credit bill each month.

 

I found a solution to the first issue:

ARCO is often amongst the lowest prices on fueltracker, but does not take credit cards.

Thay have  a PumpPass gist card whihc you can buy at  CVS using one of the credit cards that give 5% rebates for drugstoes.

I have started buying ARCO PumpPass gift cards at CVS, since I figure with ARCO gas around $2.90 I get to pay more like $2.75

 

As for the second issue,  You have to use your credit card responsibily.  I can't help you with that one !
