At the Alpine Community Center there will be a townhall protest meeting against the Sunrise Powerlink. The forest belongs to all of us, not just San Diegan's even. This is your opportunity to show that you support an unindustrialized forest and do not want to create hazardous wildfire conditions in areas of heavy brush and difficult terrain that can only be fought effectively with aerial support which will be difficult to do among towers that make flying conditions unsafe for firebombers. A wildfire under santa ana conditions, that can't be fought at the beginning will become an uncontrollable monster that can easily make it to the coast, as we all have seen.

There is currently a petition ciruclating (in Chula Vista, CA) in favor of the Sunrise Powerlink project. It is requesting that the adressee sign & be listed as a public supporter of this project, in addition, 2 acquiring three signatures of individuals who also are in favor of the project. Once names, adressess, emails & signatures of supporters are obtained, it is requested that the petition be sent to governor Arnold Schwarzengegger for consideration & continued support of the Sunrise Powerlink project.
