Scams are all over.
I recently had to do a window replacement. I got quotes and estimates all over the place and I really like the Window Replacement estimates I got from CalFinder. I didn't see any of the warning signs listed above.
Losing heat and wasting
Losing heat and wasting energy used to be a regular problem on windows, even my house has small windows just because of this. I can't even think about putting those wonderful Minneapolis Window Coverings I found online because there is nothing to fit my windows. Energy loss shouldn't be a problem with windows anymore, we have a lot of options for windows insulation, it's only up to us.
Argon
Do window replacements in California need Argon to qualify for the rebate?
Windshield Replacement Phoenix
Your A/C bill is largely determined by how your windows are set up in your house.
Energy saving with Replacement Window
Great info, very informative on saving your energy bill.
Many people just don't understand how a high quality vinyl replacement window can help cut down on your energy bill.
Keep it coming!

Each season has unique conditions that require different aspects of a window's performance. When it gets hot, a window that reduces heat gain can lower air conditioning costs. When it gets cold in the winter, a window that retains heat lowers utility costs.
window replacement
My La Mesa home was built in 1960 and has louvered windows in much of the house. All of my bedroom window sills are about 45 inches from the floor. You say that new windows must be 41 inches from the floor. Does that mean I have to lower all my windows when I replace them instead of just putting in retrofits? Vinly retrofits would raise them another few inches. Aluminum retrofits have smaller frames but would still be well above 41 inches. Is there any way around this or am I stuck with my old windows Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Taratune
