A Battle Over San Diego's Energy Future

UCAN News

This week, UCAN filed a critique of SDG&E's Long Term Resource Plan. The testimony by UCAN's Executive Director Michael Shames sets the stage for a battle with SDG&E about the region's energy future. In his testimony, filed on March 2nd, Shames points out how SDG&E's proposed energy plan for San Diego is at odds with the region's own preferences. He also details how SDG&E has undervalued the potential for self-generation and energy efficiency. For details, click on "shamestestimony" below for the complete testimony.

OIL CO EXCUSE FOR INCREASED GAS PRICE NO LONGER MENTIONED.

What happened to the big excuse that the oil companys had to increase prices to pay for the miles and miles of pipe line replacements and repairs needed? Anyone with a pennys worth of sense knows that those lines are made of stainless steel and DO NOT RUST as they claimed, especially when oil running thru them prevents rust also. Can UCAN interview them on that comment they made that kinda just wasn't ever mentioned again.
