A lifesaver in hot weather
Hot spells, like we experienced in San Diego last July, can be deadly for older adults, the disabled and others who are homebound or cannot tolerate extreme heat. There were many fatalities due to heat waves in the Midwest and France in recent years. No one suffering from the effects of heat, should hesitate to go one of these designated Cool Zones for relief. Also, remember to look out for friends, relatives, and neighbors who might need assistance in getting to these locations.
