Supervisor will call you back

Well, I just got off the phone with Sprint who has just promised to refund me 9.99 for the charges of Bid4priz for the 2nd time. Last month I noticed on my bill that these charges have been piling up. I called Bid4priz and asked them to cancel. They said I had called on the 8th of August and the billing date was August 4th and there was nothing I could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me that the supervisor was not in and he would have him call me back. I never received that call. So I called Sprint and the rep I spoke with made me feel like she was doing me a favor to give me a "curtosey credit" of 9.99. It seemed I was bothering her to her job. The actual credit given to me was 8.99. I let it go since I just wanted it to be over. Then I just opened my newest Sprint bill today. And Bid4priz charged me again 9.99. I called once again and asked to speak directly to the supervisor - the supervisor was currently unavailable and he would be happy to have him call me back. ( I was speaking to the same rep as last month) He tried to explain to me that I called past the billing date and I didn't cancel in time so that was why I received the charges. I explained to him that the previous month he stated that I would not be charged again and what a coincidence that his supervisor wasn't available last month either and I still never recieved that call back. Speaking to this guy was useless. I told him he was scamming me and that he won't get away with this. I called Sprint and explained that this was happening again and that they needed to do something. They had me send a STOP test message to a number they gave me and said they noted my account to stop the billing. They also were going to refund me a 9.99 credit. This has to stop! I think I got hooked into this when I was dabbling with Cashcrate.

America sucks, why aren't these people killed.

Didn't sign up for anything. This is just another fine example why capitalism and democracy suck. If i wasn't so busy i would enjoy hunting down and killing the individuals responsible(after due diligence to assure their guilt and history of such criminal activity) Our government is all over the world killing people for a lot less reason. America, grow more balls, less lawyers. Yes, i said i will murder people who pull this crap on my fellow countrymen, even if they are Americans themselves. This is terrorism. Be warned. Please, please, law enforcement agencies, come find me, make me famous. I'll make a campaign out of this, i'll become a hero, it would be the best thing anyone could possibly do with their life -set this country straight, we were doing so good. Too many honest people (and elderly) are getting scammed, do the job our justice system isn't. But do it with integrity, accountability and due diligence. (I have no affiliation with ucan, nor do i ever frequent this site. I just stumbled upon it with google.)

SPRINT & BID4PRIZ Scam

I am furious...this is the most fraudulent business practice I've ever seen firsthand. A text message arrived on my phone a few months ago. Upon seeing it was spam I immediately sent a reply demanding that my number be removed from their list and that I not receive any additional communication from them. A month or so later they sent me another text and I again responded with a cease and desist-type message. I didn't know I was being charged since my husband does the bills (obviously that's not a good idea) but I called Sprint immediately after seeing that charge along with an equipment protection/insurance charge that I specifically refused upon purchasing my phone. (I refused the charge because when I last purchased equipment protection/insurance they somehow mysteriously ended up transferring it to my daughter's phone. Her phone was the cheapest model of all four on the plan and mine was the most expensive. When my phone was stolen last August, the Sprint rep at the call center informed me of the aforementioned. I hadn't noticed it was under my daughter's number until that moment. )

Sprint told me they were removing the charges for equipment protection and for the third party service. The rep also told me she could put a block on my number so I won't have the problem in thew future. Obviously, this headache is not resolved.

I don't know how this could be legal....

Obviously, though it's a pain, I've now learned that I have to monthly go over the bill with a fine tooth comb. Also, it's not enough to get basic documentation when you call Sprint to register a complaint; better yet find a way to record any phone conversations with the company so you'll have the proof when you need it.

Bid4priz Scam

I had just received my Sprint bill lastnight and had noticed a $9.99 charge on it from a third party New Motion Inc. of Bid4Priz as well as others. I didn't not ok, reply or order this text message. I called my Sprint service and they took the chartge off my bill plus. They were nice about it, but told me I had to call the Bid4Priz to cancel this subcription I NEVER ordered. The lady on the line was rude, couldn't tell me how this could be possible if I never agreed to anything to begin with and couldn't tell me exactly what website I got it from or provide me any proof that that I ok it. I'm worried that it may happen again.

Bid4priz and other problems

I have had this on my bill for the last four months. Everytime I call sprint they tell me that they will remove the charges. Also, I have had all premium add-ons banned from my phones, but every month it still shows up. When I recieved a text from Bid4priz saying that I was renewed for another month, it gave me an 800 number so that I could call to un subscribe. It was easy but I am still being charged for it even after I unsubscribed. I never knew that other people were having this problem. I never signed up for this and have no idea how it got on my phone. Here is the 800 number if anyone needs it, I unsubscribed via automated system. 1-800-861-7414

There are other things on my bill that they(Sprint) always say they are going to fix but haven't. When they offer you a free ring tone and give you a promo look very closely at your bill because I noticed that they have been charging me for my 'free' ring tones.

I wander if this is how they make they're money by screwing others out of thiers.
They also have a very messed up way of taking payments. I recently bought a new phone (Rumor). Its a great phone, I love it. But when I paid for the phone and used my credit card to pay for it, they used that money to pay my bill for that month (that wasn't even due). So now I'm getting charged for the phone on this months bill. I have a reciept in my email saying that I paid for my phone with my Card. I have a confirmation number and everything. IT SAYS THAT I PAID FOR MY PHONE. I wouldn't be so mad about it but they (customer service) don't understand why I'm mad.

Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Another Approach To Stop Cramming

The unauthorized charges on a phone bill are called "cramming". The California Public Utilities Commission has just issued a Ruling it hopes to use to eliminate the reporting of cramming by the wireless and landline phone companies. Please try the following methods to stop this cramming practice:
1) Write a dispute letter to Sprint and send it certified return receipt requested stating you were crammed through your Sprint service and want this company's access blocked from the Sprint service. Request a response within 20-30 days by including a date as to whether or not the company is honoring your demand for company protection and your demand for an immediate credit.

2) File an online complaint with the CPUC at www.cpuc.ca.gov stating you have been crammed and that the company refuses to stop the practice. Insist that your complaint be logged as a violation of the current cramming regulations by Bid4Priz on your Sprint account and that Sprint has had sufficient complaints to block this company from cramming charges to its customers. Let the CPUC know you expect an answer. This method will only work if all of you take the same actions.

3) Finally, it doesn't hurt for the Federal Trade Commission to get massive complaints on the phone company refusing to protect its customers from cramming. File an online complaint at www.ftc.gov. Your complaints are with Sprint for failing to take action against cramming of its customers.

It's ridiculous! Just find

It's ridiculous! Just find out that they have been charging 9.99 on my cell phone account since April of 2007! I called customer service and question about the charges. Guess what, the lady was so RUDE! She basicly told me to get lost, and said there was nobody above her I can talk to, and there is no use to talk to anybody else in the company.

I am very upset. If nothing else I will keep complaining, and write everywhere on the internet until they give me refund on all the charges they put on my account.

DID NOT EXCEPT THIS

They keep charging my phone 9.99 a month making sure after i cancel, call the number and have my number removed they send another text message saying that 9.99 will charged to my account

Bid4Priz

this is on my sprint bill did not order

$9.99 unauthorized charges to my Sprint bill

I want this $9.99 monthly charge removed from my Sprint bill! New Motion Inc: Informational - Bid4Priz 8008617414 - 02/04 I have not authorized any operation to bill my Sprint account, and I want it STOPPED!

I found out how this is happening

I did some research and found out how this happens. All of us did actually subscribe, we just didn't know it. The Bid4priz sign-up was incorporated into the last step of the Photobucket.com sign-up. (probably other websites too)

The advertisement for Bid4priz looks like it is a required step in the photobucket.com sign-up. IT IS NOT. You are already signed up for photobucket before you get to this page. They ask you to enter your phone number and then click on the "..I agree to official rules..." box. Once you click on the box and then clik on "continue to step 2," you have officially subscribed to this bid4priz scam. I fell for it too.

More importantly: If your kids use MySpace, then they are probably guilty of signing up for this. Why? Because Photobucket is the official "photo uploading service" of MySpace. MySpace requires users to use Photobucket.com to upload photos to use on their pages.

Call 800-861-7414 to get rid of this service.

Question when you call the

Question when you call the 800 number to get rid of this program do they send you some kind of message telling you it's been unsubcribed? If not how do you really know that it's been deleted? And has anyone else noticed that they only send you a text message once a month, i'm assuming they send it when there going to charge your account.
