Hmm. Seems you have a line of site problem with satellite, and the cable co sucks because their lines are old and thats what usually causes internet and video problems. Ive worked for both industries, so I know my stuff. I would go Uverse with AT&T I can email you all the info Sue, good luck, Dan Sullivan

paying early discon. fee

I got cable with Qwest, I did not know that I had 30 days to discon. and since I am 50 and on Medicare since 08/07 my short term memory is gone. I did not know/remember that this new cable/internet svc would not get local chanels in this county. So much was happening in my life,my dad was doing worse every day. I went the 4 miles to see him as much as I could. I guess several months went by,they would call and set up a time for someone to come and set up the cable, the 1st guy called and came, looked around and said that he could not get a dish with a clear view (trees) then he said to call and cancel with the company but don't tell them that he came yet (because they would charge him?) I did that. Then time went by. I had no tv, then they called again, I was on a stand by for the next visit. The guy called at 7:20p he couldnt find my area. (the first guy was not from this area either)
So specific instructions were put in my file for next time. said that he would call his dispatch and ask if it was too late to come, this was about 8:00p never heard from him. The next time it was 2 men that came (set up by me calling them) they told me that I would not get local station. I thought that meant LOCAL. It means NBC ABC CBS AND FOX! When I thought local as in KTVZ. I did not want that! So now after several calls over this time my father passed away OCT.26th I with my bad disability and all the rest, OH, my internet hook up, I talked for a long time and then was transferred to a Tech. going through every thing, he could not figure out why my hook up with their HIGH SPEED CONNECTION made mine SLOWER than before,which is slower than the SLOW that I had..ENDING with: THEY COULD NOT FULLFILL THEIR PROMISE TO ME, SO , I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR EARLY DEPARTURE. What do i do now?
