MY SECRET TO CANCEL!!!!!

i just cancelled my nextel/sprint account.........the easiest way to do it is by saying you are moving out of the country and therefore your wireless service doesnt work abroad and they will waive the cancellation fee. if you are lucky you have family oversees like i do , and you can tell them to fax/email you a copy of any utility bill with an address on it. change the name by using microsoft paint or photoshop or any picture programs and send it in. make sure it looks legit. the best way is to erase the whole address and write it again with your name so that the font matches. when you call its a long process to cancel it. and they will tell you to fax the proof of residence to them and that it will take 24 to 48 hrs for them to contact you. but if you insist like i did, you can send the rep a direct email and they will cancel it on the spot. im telling you this because i know what it feels like to want out of stupid nextel. I had 2 lines which would of cost me $400! but now im getting the iphone 3g july 11!****** also be careful trying to port your number to another wireless carrier.... im choosing not to because i dont know how the system works and maybe sprint will realize i was lying and charge me the fees. so id rather just get a new number than to risk it! i hope this will help all u people a lot.....trust me it works because i did it!
