area code 760 change
I am from Seattle and when they split the area codes up, it was inconvenient at first but the geographical order in which it was implemented makes perfect sense now. Denver, on the other hand, did an overlay and it's absurd to have to do 10 digit dialing for your next door neighbor. The area code takes on no geographical significance that way and it's inconvenient. I would rather have a new area code. For cell phones, it's not that big of a deal anyway: mobile to mobile is free with Verizon wireless and most cell phones allow you to program phone numbers in so it's still the touch of a button.
