water bill
HELLO:
I'M A CUSTOMER OF LAKESIDE WATER DISTRICT. THEY HAVE BEEN BILLING ME FOR USING ABOUT A 1/3 MORE USAGE THAN LAST YEAR.
FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS I'VE BEEN ON A SEVERELY RESTICTED WATER USAGE PROGRAM. MY LAWNS ARE BROWN, I HAVE'NT BEEN FLUSHING THE TOILET UNTIL ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, I BOUGHT A NEW CLOTHES WASHING MACHINE, I DON'T USE THE DISH WASHER, AND I DON'T HAVE A ROOMATE WHICH I DID LAST YEAR. YET MY BILL JUST CAME AND IT STATES I USED A THIRD MORE WATER THAN LAST YEAR.
I'VE CALLED ABOUT THIS AND THEY SEND SOMEONE OUT TO CHECK FOR LEAKS, NO LEAKS.
I SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE METER. THEY ARE GOING TO SEND SOMEONE OUT TOMORROW TO CHECK THE METER FOR $20.00.
I ASKED
"YOU ARE GOING TO CHECK YOURSELVES " I WAS TOLD YES. I SUGGESTED THEY JUST REPLACE THE METER WHEN THEY WERE HERE. NO WAY THATS MY METER I WAS TOLD.
I ASKED WHO OVERSAW THEM I AND WAS FIRST TOLD NO ONE THAN I WAS TOLD "THE BOARD" I ASKED HOW I TALKED TO THEM AND WAS TOLD I COULD'NT I'D HAVE TO SUBMIT A LETTER, TO BE REVIEWED BY THE MANAGER TO SEE IF I COULD SPESK TO THE BOARD.
ANYWAY I'M WONDERING IF YOU FOLKS MIGHT HAVE ANOTHER AVENUE FOR ME TO PURSUE.
