window replacement
My La Mesa home was built in 1960 and has louvered windows in much of the house. All of my bedroom window sills are about 45 inches from the floor. You say that new windows must be 41 inches from the floor. Does that mean I have to lower all my windows when I replace them instead of just putting in retrofits? Vinly retrofits would raise them another few inches. Aluminum retrofits have smaller frames but would still be well above 41 inches. Is there any way around this or am I stuck with my old windows Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
