Magic Act: Check your Sprint bill for disappearing discounts

Family is great. Blood is thicker than water, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...well, I guess only the first saying applies. In addition to the lovey-dovey stuff, families can use their safety in numbers to save on their phone bills with multi-line family discounts. However, in late August, Sprint is cutting its multi-line discounts and forcing you to spend the family dinner money to cover the increasing costs.

According to the Consumerist, Sprint users began to see this language on the back of their bills: "Discount Policy Change Notice
Effective 8/27/10, discounts will no longer apply to the monthly recurring charge for Add-a-Phone lines beyond the first two lines on family or share plans. The primary and second lines will continue to receive discounts."

Ruh-roh, Shaggy. No more additional discounts for Scooby and the gang. However, this may be a situation where you can escape the clutches of Sprint's evil contracts. Take a look at our great How To Cancel Your Cellphone Contract guide and call your friendly neighborhood Sprint agent.
