CPUC studies the impact of deregulation

The California Public Utilities Commission is conducting a survey of telephone customers in order to better understand the impact of deregulation on basic telephone service.

The Public Research Institute at San Francisco State University has been calling selected telephone service customers and inquiring about telephone service affordability. Apparently, responses will enable the CPUC to determine how best to provide affordable telephone service to households in San Diego.

Allegedly, the information provided during the survey will be kept confidential. However, your participation is voluntary.
