T-Mobile to lift cap on 5 GB monthly plan

Wow. There is always a first. T-mobile is taking a step in the right direction regarding the consumer. Instead of billing you for going over your allotted "data," T-Mobile will drop overage charges. However, your data service will slow down. Again, only when a consumer goes over  the monthly allotment. This is better than being charged money, right? I think so.

Before the cap was lifted, T-mobile charged $0.20 per MB of data that users went over their 5 GB limit. Now, users will just have their data speeds decreased.

T-Mobile said that "only a "very small" number of users go over 5 GB per month when the plan is used in conjunction with an existing home broadband service." T-Mobile also cut the overage on its 200 MB monthly plan from $0.20 to $0.10 per MB.

You can read up on T-mobile and the 5 GB monthly plan.
