More than a little aloha? KUSI investigates dinners between SDG&E and PUC
KUSI's Michael Turko investigated several private dinners in Hawaii and San Francisco between SDG&E and the PUC. Tawdry tellings or innocuous inter-agency ingesting?
Check out the video here: http://www.kusi.com/features/turko/91681224.html?video=YHI&t=a
While Turko's investigation determined that technically no rules were broken, it doesn't sit well with many people that SDG&E executives are having private dinners with administrators at the PUC. Former City Attorney Michael Aguirre makes an analogy to a lawsuit--how would you feel if you found out that opposing counsel in your case went out to dinner with the judge?

CPUC Commissioners getting free meals from SDG&E in Hawaii
GO TURKO!!!! This is absolutely outrageous. What were CPUC Commissioners doing in Hawaii ? With hundreds of millions of ratepayer and tax dollars at stake for unnecessary SDG&E projects like the Sunrise power link, we deserve better representation - I don't care if the commissioners chipped in for dinner, this isn't fair.
And I don't like commissioners travelling to Hawaii to "work" for the public, either. If they want to go to Cleveland or Detroit on business, then it is a believable premise that they are actually doing business, not taking vacations on the taxpayer's dime.
