Edison Caught Lying Again - Penalized $146 Million

It was beyond outrageous when Southern California Edison's managment and employees provided rigged customer satisfaction survey data to the PUC in a scheme designed to swindle millions of dollars in Performance Based Ratemaking (PBR) customer satisfaction rewards from 1997-2003.

Edison admitted the scam after being turned in to the PUC by a whistleblower.

On September 18, 2008, the PUC penalized Edison $146 million for its outrageous conduct.

SD&GE CUT OFF POWER DURING "RED FLAG" DAYS TO ABOUT 35,000

Hay folks, why are we letting the San Diego Gas and Electric get away with this?
they want to shut off our Power for about 35,000 customers from 24 to about 72 hours of no services. I can see in one way they want to PROTECT their back sides, since the folks from the witch creek fires. Now they want to make sure they are not sued again. But what if the elderly, children who relay " ON O2 MACHINES? AND THEY CAN NOT AFFORD A MACHINE THAT IS compatable with a GENERATOR IF THERE IS ON. NOW they say they want to put in Steel Poles, well that is great, But why don't they team up with the TELEPHONE COMPANY'S SINCE they charge us a arm and a leg any way. And dig the darn ditches and run all lines under ground????
AND MAYBE ALSO ADD SOME CABLE SO WE IN THE RURAL AREAS CAN GET CABLE SERVICES??? and also for the "PHONE COMPANYS TO ADD SOME CELLER PHONE SERVICE TOWERS, so if there is a fire we would still "HAVE COMMUNICATION OF THE REVISE 911 SYSTEMS??? Also what if some one is bed ridden and a family member has to run to town, and no one is around to help them since IF THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY NO PHONES FOR HELPPPPP. THEY SURE DID NOT THINK THINGS THRO. SO NOW ON TOP OF BEING NICKELED TO DEATH, NOW IF PEOPLE CAN AFFORD IT HAVE TO FIND GENERATORS, THEN NOTIFY SD & GE THAT THEY HAVE ONE.... GIVE US A BREAKKKKKKK. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
